A restorative modernist retreat in Healdsburg. An affinity for nature and a desire to create a peaceful sancutary was the inspiration behind this unique Healdsburg retreat. The minimalist aesthetic style of the 2BR/1.5BA residence, designed by Feldman Architects and built in 2016 by Cello & Madru, took cues from an existing contemporary 1BR/1BA guest house to create comfortable and purposeful spaces strategically positioned to capture panoramic views. Situated like a glass pavilion atop a Zen-like 28 acre hillside setting. Strong design elements of concrete walls & steel columns frame delicate double-height glass walls on three sides, seamlessly uniting indoor-outdoor transitions. The precision in the detail of the minimalism is genius with lofty volume, concealed storage, organic elements, neutral palettes, warm wood, and soft light. The two-level home features an uncomplicated lower-level that opens the entire width, connecting to resort-style outdoor amenities; 12' x 50' lap pool, stainless steel spa, cedar cabana/arbor & sauna, expansive patios of granite pavers. Guest house features timeless contemporary styling, vaulted ceilings, LR with wide glass doors open to pool terrace and quiet 1BR/1BA on lower level. Growing gardens, fruit & olive orchards, butterfiles & honeybees.
